About AxleLoad 53 and contact
Updated October 18, 2026
AxleLoad 53 is a load-planning tool for truck drivers and dispatchers working with 53-foot semi-trailers in Canada and the United States.
Why this tool
A trailer can be under the gross weight limit and still overload one axle group. Drivers often find out too late, at the scale or the inspection station. AxleLoad 53 shows the distribution before loading, lets you compare slider and fifth-wheel settings, and helps you keep a safety margin.
Who builds it
AxleLoad 53 is developed and operated by GestionsPro-Innov, in Quebec, Canada. The app is available in English, French and Spanish, on the web, Android and iOS.
Where the limits come from
- Quebec: Quebec Ministry of Transportation Guide des normes de charges et dimensions des véhicules, 2026 edition (Table 1, Table 2 and the thaw period).
- Canada: the interprovincial memorandum of understanding on heavy vehicle weights and dimensions.
- United States: federal Interstate limits and Federal Bridge Formula B, plus California’s 40-foot kingpin-to-axle rule.
We update the limits when a new edition of these documents is published. If you spot a difference, write to us and include the source.
What the tool does not replace
AxleLoad 53 gives an estimate based on the weights you enter. It does not replace a certified scale weight, a special permit, or local restrictions from a municipality or a bridge.
